Do you trust him and take him at his word?
When Jesus says I am the light of the world it is a statement about his Glory. The one who was, who is, and still to come! Let that sink in! The one who was there and spoke things into existence is the one who said “today you will be with me in paradise” and is very one who will stand at Heaven’s gate and welcome us home! The light also exposes who we are: We never see ourselves truly until we see ourselves in the context of Christ. It’s hard to admit or to look at ourselves in the mirror, but when we compare ourselves to Christ and what his word teaches we are confronted with our true selves. We are in desperate need of a savior. Unlike what the world thinks the bible has nothing to do with a list of do’s and don’ts but has everything to do with a loving devoted Father doing all that he can to protect his children (his creation). The light also exposes the truth salvation. There simply is no middle ground. No middle grounds on where we are with Christ or how should we live our l
