Expecting

We are expecting! The journey continues...I am fasciated how God works through his people. I am so far of where I want to be spiritually, but yet he continues to use us. Over the past year, the Lord has challenged and even confronted me with his word. The question I have been wrestling with is... do I believe it...do I believe all of it? In short, I do! I believe every single word, period, adjective, noun...to be the inspired word of God. I often hear things like man wrote it or what about dinosaurs, or this or that....Have you read it? I am convinced you will never be person God wants you to be until you believe in the power of his word. Of course man wrote it... God has always also used men as his vessel. How would you expect him to write it? It truly humbles me that he would inspire men to speak through him then as he is now. In fact, the creator writes messages to us all the time in the rainbows, clouds, rain and sunny skies. The other interesting thing is those questions how

Learning to be childlike...

The deeper I go in my Christian walk the more like a child I become. I am in constant need of His presence to be satisfied. As adults we are taught to be independent. As a truly devoted Christ follower, I have learned independence isolates while dependence gravities our thoughts and actions towards him. Pure peace, satisfaction, happiness and joy can only be found in Him. My ability to relinquish my grasp and control of the things of this world has a direct correlation to the fullness of my heart. As a Christ-Follower I was never intended to be in control of my own destiny and that of family. God has never been interested in a portion of us serving him. He has always desired our fully devoted faithfulness and our willingness to follow him expectantly. Throughout, his love letter he guides, shapes, modes and attempts to teach us, yet our pride stands in the way of hearing. Our ability to hear the gospel is greatly affected by our time studying and mediating on the Gospel. There simply

Revelations 8 and 9

We must NOT run from learning and teaching Revelations...we must embrace God's teaching and proclaim them to all the earth...Urgency is extremly important when you think of God's timeline. Take a moment and read chapters 6-9 of Revelation.  An amazing insight into our future...this is what is going to happen.  We don't have to speculate on what will happen any longer...God's word tells us and warns us.  Some may read this and think, this does not sound like a loving God, but I ask you, has God not been showing you love all this time by holding back His wrath and giving you a chance to get to know him.  Church-we must wake up and take center off of us and put it all towards His Glory.  I don't want anyone I know to experience the pain that awaits.  After you have read chapters  6, 7, 8 and 9.  Read Hebrews 12:25-28 Hebrews 12:25-28 (New International Version, ©2010) 25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refuse

Do you trust him and take him at his word?

When Jesus says I am the light of the world it is a statement about his Glory. The one who was, who is, and still to come! Let that sink in! The one who was there and spoke things into existence is the one who said “today you will be with me in paradise” and is very one who will stand at Heaven’s gate and welcome us home! The light also exposes who we are: We never see ourselves truly until we see ourselves in the context of Christ. It’s hard to admit or to look at ourselves in the mirror, but when we compare ourselves to Christ and what his word teaches we are confronted with our true selves. We are in desperate need of a savior. Unlike what the world thinks the bible has nothing to do with a list of do’s and don’ts but has everything to do with a loving devoted Father doing all that he can to protect his children (his creation). The light also exposes the truth salvation. There simply is no middle ground. No middle grounds on where we are with Christ or how should we live our l

Reality

The reality of who He is...shows us who we are. I continue to be an amazement of what God is showing me about Himself. The overwhelming power yet His willingness to be so personal is extraordinary. The Bible itself is a mind freak...and yet people question...it took 40 generations, 40 authors and 1400 years to write and its perfectly interwoven from beginning to end.

Opening to second message

Below is the opening of the 2nd message around a three part series concerning Luke 15. Sometimes, it's just good to write down what you believe in. Let me ask you a question: When was the last time you were awed by God? No, I am not talking about a good emotional feeling .I am talking about an arm hair raising, fall on your knees type of awe. My prayer tonight is that you awed by simplicity and power of God’s written word. Thousands upon thousands books have been written about how to live a Christian life and the answer has been right here along right before our eyes. The problem is few are willing to put forth the effort to truly find the answer. As we dive into night, I want to give you a few reminders. Our starting point tonight is God’s spoken word. I believe every word to be true and purposeful and without fault. I believe the Bible to one complete redemptive story from beginning to end, one piece of rope with 66 knots leading us home, I believe in the trinity of God, thou I c

Moments like this...

In moments like this all you can do is stand in AWE of Him. Colossians 1 15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. 21Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of[ f ] your evil behavior. 22But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and
