Fundraising T-Shirts

Image
Every year, we sell T-Shirts to raise awareness and support our church planting efforts in mountainous areas in Southeast Asia.   This year, we are very excited to offer this unique shirt which comes from our Life Connection's 7-month study in Revelation. In Hebrew, Yeshua (Jesus) means The Lord of my salvation. The shirt is designed to be a conversation starter and to give glory to the ONE who is coming.   A small portion will help cover some of my remaining costs, but the remaining balance will support projects we are involved in the Himalayan Mountains of Southeast Asia. The shirts are only $20.00 in adult sizes SM -XL (XXL & XXXL cost an additional $3.00). Plus a $5.00 charge for shipping (if needed).    Softer shirts are a tad less forgiving so if you're trying to decide on the size  we suggest you go larger You can order through  Instagram ,  Facebook  or send Rob an  email  at  rcall4him@gmail.com  You can provi...

Where did everyone go?

Image
Dear Family and Friends, You are likely feeling very frightened and bewildered right about now. The world is in chaos after millions of people have suddenly disappeared. Panic reigns everywhere, and you are confused and don’t know what to do. Let me explain to you what is going on and what to do about it.  First of all, what just happened is that Jesus Christ suddenly removed from the earth all those who had accepted Him as their Savior and Lord and been born again. Jesus promised in the Bible that He would remove them, and He has done so.  (See 1 Thessalonians 4: 16-17).     Many will try to give you a different explanation of what happened. They will say, for example, that those who were removed from the earth were inferior beings of a lesser consciousness.  When the world leader called the AntiChrist rises to power—which he will do shortly, if he has not done so already—he may say that he himself removed all Christians from the earth.  Regardless, t...

Please continue to pray for our partners in Nepal!

Image
The Church in Nepal continues to flourish amid pressure as a remarkable indigenous movement; the large majority of Nepali Christians worship and fellowship in thoroughly indigenous structures and networks. The Church is growing in numbers, diversity, and maturity, but prayer is still needed.  Please also pray for the network of Pastors we work with within Nepal.  Click to read the latest stats from  Operation World - Nepal

Do you believe in miracles?

Image
We want to thank Grace Klein Community for telling our miracle story !  They truly are one of our favorite ministry partners located in our hometown of Birmingham, AL. Miracle Moments        “Jesus said, ‘Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God.’” John 11:40 At Grace Klein Community (GKC), we believe in miracles and see them every day. With a community of thousands of volunteers, we cannot post all the prayer needs on our social media platforms. Some days, however, God impresses on our hearts that the time is now to engage the entire community. January 27, 2021, was one of those days. Long-term volunteer Rob Compton was in the hospital with COVID and pneumonia. The doctors told his wife, Kathy, that she had one day to get affairs in order and informed her that he would be on a ventilator the following day. The doctors said he had two to five days to live. Of course, Kathy never mentioned to anyone that the doctor gave Rob a death ...

Missions: Learning to live by faith by taking the first step

Image
How does a person develop a passion and interest in missions? For some of us it was part of the family we grew up in. For others, it’s conviction from the scriptures or a Spirit-given leading.  Sometimes it’s an invitation from someone to participate in a project, a fund-raising effort, a mission trip or meeting, or hearing a missionary speak. Reality Is, it has to start somewhere. We never fully experience God in his fullness until the first step of faith is taken.  The question often is where and how do I start? If you live in Birmingham, Alabama we are big fans of Grace Klein Community. GKC seeks to create authentic community (Koinonia) by uniting diverse individuals, businesses, ministries, and churches to work together by sharing what they have in order to meet physical and spiritual needs both locally and globally. The following numbers for 2020 showcase what only God could make possible.  2000--NUMBER OF HOUSEHOLDS HELPED  101,000- NUMBER OF PEOPLE HELPED...

Are we ready?

Image
In just a matter of days, the world as we knew it suddenly changed. The air we breathe became sweeter.  We try to act normal yet our minds race with questions.  When will this end?  Will all those I love make it through this? What about my job and future?   In the best-case scenario, 100,000 to 240,00 American's will lose their lives in the next 30 to 60 days.  Now, that truly is an overwhelming statistic that I can't begin to wrap my mind around.  Yet, that's the reality we face. Unfortunately, some of us may not make it through this.  So, with that thought in, we should ask ourselves the most important question of our lives.  Are we truly ready to meet Jesus and give account for how we how have lived?   When you watch the video below, ask yourself a simple question.  Do I truly believe that I've repented (turn from) of my sins against God, asked Jesus into my life, and allowed him to be Lord of my life?  The answer to th...

Christian, how should we respond?

Image
Brothers and sisters, over the next days and weeks, we will be asked a lot of questions that will challenge each of us. The COVID-19 Pandemic has made us all stop and think.  In the video below, Francis Chan challenges us to have a proper perspective to make sure we have the right mindset. The four main takeaways are: 1. Don't lose your perspective. 2. Don't stop rejoicing. 3. Don't stop the joy. 4. Don't lose your peace. God's providing a unique opportunity. There are a lot of people looking for answers, and therefore, asking questions. Somewhere along the way, they have seen something in you by the way you talk, live, and act. Now God is directing them to you. If you are living your life so that God is shining through, you have the answers they are seeking. Be ready for the conversations while you yourself are seeking the Bible and the Holy Spirit for truth. Let's not miss this opportunity to make Jesus known!

What does a Biblical Marriage look like?

Image
One of the joys of being a father is watching your girl's dreams come true! Yes, it's hard to let them go, but peace comes from watching them look at their spouses with pure love and joy.  We are thankful for all the family and friends who came to celebrate this day with our family.  Scott (Hunter's Dad) did an amazing job keeping Christ the center of everything.

Orphan No More!

Image
November is Orphan Awareness Month!   As many of already know God led us to start the adoption process in 2011 and graciously Emmanuel came home 18 months later.   Our story is filled with struggles and miracles.   Most importantly, our story is a story of grace, mercy, and love as we saw God move throughout the process.   Thankfully, our adoption journey has been filled with joy and laughter!   http://touch1life.blogspot.com/2011/05/expecting.html

What are your reading right now?

Image
One of the most commonly asked questions is "what's God's will for my life"?  The question sounds innocent enough, but do you really want to know the answer from a Biblical perspective?  Currently, I'm reading a book by a friend and Pastor David Platt.  Now, this isn't an easy read! However, it's important for us to truly consider making our lives count.   Here's a description from  Radical.net While trekking in the Himalayas, David Platt was shaken by the extent of human need he witnessed first-hand. In his new book Something Needs to Change, he addresses the extreme spiritual and physical need that he saw and the questions that he wrestled with along the way. Journey with him through some of the most remote and spiritually dark places in the world and allow yourself to come face to face with what it means to live out what we say we believe. Nepal 2019 Mini Documentary

Image
This year, our desire was to find an innovative way to help our prayer warriors, family, and church feel a part of this trip.  So, we recoded short videos along the way to give God glory and set the scene.  We saw so many miracles and supernatural events it's hard to put them into words or even in a video.  Recently, someone asked how many people came to know the Lord?  I'm not a big fan of numbers, but it was awesome to say I really don't know.  There were so many opportunities for our teams and those around us to share Christ in these unreached areas. I truly was blown away by God's faithfulness.  Thanks to our amazing National Partner we also had the opportunity to meet a variety of church planters who are doing an amazing job, including one area where we had biblical training last year.  Since that time, this young pastor has launched 3 more churches and a christian school which has over 50 students and 7 teachers. ...

2019 Trip Recap

Image
We want to thank everyone for thinking and praying for us during our recent trip to Nepal. This year, our goal was to find innovative ways to include you while highlighting how God is moving throughout Nepal.  The daily recaps will include short videos to help provide insight into what we were seeing and recaps of the events.  In the coming weeks, we will summarize everything in one video. Below are links to our videos and pics : Youtube videos Google Photo Album Daily Recaps: Day One: Our day began with attending Pastor’s Raju’s Church. Rob was humbled by the opportunity to speak on the role of the church in missions using Matthew 25 as the text. After lunch, we got a late start and had to drive part of the way in the dark as we climbed up the mountain. We drove for a little over five hours before arriving in our village. Driving up the Himalayas at night Arriving in the village Day Two: This is an important day!  Our first mor...

Time to go!

Image
F irst, I want to thank you for joining us in prayer for this unique opportunity.  We leave this evening from Birmingham and arrive in Kathmandu (6 hours ahead) on Friday at 6 pm. I’ll save you the trouble that’s almost 40 hours of travel time. Let’s start with a huge praise report! The journey to Nepal started over six years ago. So, it’s amazing to see what God is doing. Two years ago, we went to our first unreached village and God graciously allowed us to witness a church be birthed.  A couple of days ago, we learned there are now 20 active believers and other attendees! This is despite the law going into effect that it’s against the law to convert someone.  This village is extremely remote. If interested, you can see pictures and video by visiting www.touchone.org. Last year, we had an opportunity to invest in biblical training for 45 passionate believers from various neighboring villages.  We prayed specifically for the last known unreached...

The sad truth...

Image
We are a few days from heading back to Nepal.  The team is excited for the opportunity to serve along the local leaders who do an amazing job!  God is doing amazing things because of their faithfulness.  This year, we will work in dark areas where girls are being taken and sold into sex trafficking is a major issue.  Please continues to pray that God will reveal himself through dreams and visions to these dangerous men.  We are praying for a supernatural trip where God is glorified!   The trafficking of girls from Nepal into India for forced prostitution is perhaps one of the busiest slave trafficking routes anywhere in the world, with estimated 5,000-10,000 Nepali women and girls trafficked to India each year.  An estimated 100,000-200,000 Nepali trafficked persons are in India. Nepali girls are especially desirable as prostitutes in India because they are considered more attractive due to their lighter skin color, and because Nepali virgins ar...

God is speaking through dreams and visions

Image
Please pray for our missionaries and the national leaders as God continues to speak through dreams and visions in a supernatural way.  I believe God is calling this generation and the next to rise and take our place amongst the history makers who set the course before us.   Romans 10: 13-15 13  for “ Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved .” 14  How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?   15  How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “ How beautiful are the feet of those who   bring good news of good things !” Acts 2:17  ‘And it shall be in the last days,’ God says, ‘That I will pour forth of My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams; ...

Why we must pray and go!

This week, Open Doors USA  released the World Watch List—an in-depth report on the top 50 countries where the persecution of Christians is highest. "Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body" (Heb. 13:3).  This is why we must pray and go!  Nepal and India are in the top 25!
