2019 Trip Recap

We want to thank everyone for thinking and praying for us during our recent trip to Nepal. This year, our goal was to find innovative ways to include you while highlighting how God is moving throughout Nepal. The daily recaps will include short videos to help provide insight into what we were seeing and recaps of the events. In the coming weeks, we will summarize everything in one video.

Day One:

Our day began with attending Pastor’s Raju’s Church. Rob was humbled by the opportunity to speak on the role of the church in missions using Matthew 25 as the text.

After lunch, we got a late start and had to drive part of the way in the dark as we climbed up the mountain. We drove for a little over five hours before arriving in our village.

Day Two:

This is an important day! Our first morning of Biblical Training with 50 leaders from neighboring villages, many of which are walking two to three hours to attend. In the first video, Raju (ministry partner) explains the Nuawokt strategy for the next three years. The next two videos provide glimpses of how God moved in unique and powerful ways.

Great news!

Day Three:

The second day of Biblical Training which included gospel engagement opportunity for 50 leaders to go door to door in several close villages. Listening to the stories was amazing! Some of the young people from ages 15 and up were sharing Christ for the first time and they were so excited.

Daily Recap

Day 4:
Big news, because of your investment in this work we are helping to launch another church in a very remote village which was known for human trafficking! There are around 2,000 homes with only 2 known believers. This couple is going for 3 years and will work to be quickly self-sufficient. We’re so excited about this one. Trust me when I say remote!

Day #5:
This has been an awesome day. We had an opportunity to spend time in our village from last year to learn about what God has been doing. Since last year, 15 new believers have been baptized and a new church has started in another village close by. Thanks to your support the Christian School now has 7 teachers and 50 students. We had a health issue today and had to stay behind as Pastor Raju when on to Gumba. I will share more about this later.

Day #6:
Wow, what an incredible last day back in the mountains. We had an opportunity to witness another church plant since our training last year. While there we had an opportunity to present the gospel and a young man accepted Christ. Pastor Raju was in Gumba preaching and 5 accepted Christ there today as well. The videos below will provide a little more detail while showing the drive up and views God provided.
