Time to go!




First, I want to thank you for joining us in prayer for this unique opportunity.  We leave this evening from Birmingham and arrive in Kathmandu (6 hours ahead) on Friday at 6 pm. I’ll save you the trouble that’s almost 40 hours of travel time.

Let’s start with a huge praise report!
The journey to Nepal started over six years ago. So, it’s amazing to see what God is doing.

Two years ago, we went to our first unreached village and God graciously allowed us to witness a church be birthed. A couple of days ago, we learned there are now 20 active believers and other attendees! This is despite the law going into effect that it’s against the law to convert someone.  This village is extremely remote. If interested, you can see pictures and video by visiting www.touchone.org.

Last year, we had an opportunity to invest in biblical training for 45 passionate believers from various neighboring villages.  We prayed specifically for the last known unreached area in the district. The village is known as Gumba. One of the young men said he wanted to go there.  Thanks to your support and the mission’s team at Valleydale we were able to provide him enough support for three months. Praise the Lord, a church has been planted and there are already 13 active believers.

This year. we will join forces with our Nepali ministry partner to host a 2 ½ day biblical training for 50 people in a new district.  We then spend time prayer walking in two villages that are known as the worst human trafficking areas in Nepal. These are areas where traffickers prey on poor families and promise to provide good jobs and life to young girls. Instead, they sell them on the dark web and/or are taken to India to be forced into sex slavery.  Sadly, young virgins are thought to cure aids so they are a huge target and can bring up to $2,000. We praise God for preparing the field.

·  Our families at home! It’s easier to go than to stay at home with the unknown
·  I’m also praying the God reveals the traffickers and families/girls at risk!
·  For new unreached areas to be identified and new churches planted

Expecting

We are expecting! The journey continues...I am fasciated how God works through his people. I am so far of where I want to be spiritually, but yet he continues to use us. Over the past year, the Lord has challenged and even confronted me with his word. The question I have been wrestling with is... do I believe it...do I believe all of it? In short, I do! I believe every single word, period, adjective, noun...to be the inspired word of God. I often hear things like man wrote it or what about dinosaurs, or this or that....Have you read it? I am convinced you will never be person God wants you to be until you believe in the power of his word. Of course man wrote it... God has always also used men as his vessel. How would you expect him to write it? It truly humbles me that he would inspire men to speak through him then as he is now. Yesterday

As most of you know the adoption can be along difficult journey. We received an email yesterday from our adoptive country stating all adoptions have been suspend until further notice. The government is trying to change the law and require us to stay their for three months. We have no idea what this may mean for our blended family. We are deeply sadden but we know he is sovereign.
