Reflective Testimony

There are certain moments in time which have shaped who am I in Christ and developed my core beliefs which drive my actions.  I’ve been so blessed with parents and a sister who show so much grace and love My journey is still ongoing and I can’t wait to see what happens next.  The journey is about moments which helped to define my belief systems. At around 16 or 17 standing under a Krystal sign in Chattanooga, Tn. I felt God in a new and refreshing way.  At that moment, I knew my life changed. It was no longer enough to just be a bystander! God was calling me to serve and that began a race which would take me in many different directions to help mold me into who am I today.  I spent many years running from the calling out of fear, now I long to run towards the calling out of love. In Chattanooga, I also met my wife Kathy who came into my life at a critical time  She knew of my past and didn’t judge but chose to show Jesus’s love by loving me for who I am. We now have 3 amazin

We are thankful for everyone who prayed for us during our recent trip to Nepal. This was an incredible trip, but it's extremely hard to write or explain how the Holy Spirit moved in such miraculous ways. We saw miracle after miracle with God's breathtaking beauty around us the entire time.  The unreached are difficult to reach, but it's our responsibility to be the hands and feet in the hard to reach places.  Thanks for your patience we are still processing.  I would love to share more one on one or in small  groups. Next stop...Nepal!

One of the greatest things about being a Christ-Follower is the humbling opportunity to serve him in a foreign context.  This year, we will have a chance to participate in vision trip to Nepal. The focus of the trip is prayer-walking and evangelism to unreached people groups in the foothills of the Himalaya's.  Our team value each and every prayer.  We will try to provide updates along the way. I am so humbled by this experience and for every person who has poured into me through the years!  God has used you to shape and mold me!  One of greatest gifts is the core fundamental beliefs about the Bible.    I don't take the question lightly nor attempt to minimize it's importance.  For me, the question comes down to what I believe about the Bible.  If I believe the Bible to be true then what does that mean?   Risk it all for the sake of the gospel!

Do you believe it to be true?  No, really; Do you believe it to be true?  If so, what does that mean?  The Bible is one of the most interesting and controversial books in all of history.  What you believe about the bible dictates the kind of life you will live. In Matthew 28, Jesus tells his disciples to “go” and make disciples of all nations in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. For our family, the Bible is God’s spoken Word; spoken through His chosen servants.  The more we study God’s Word, the more we believe it’s our responsibility as  followers  of Christ to go share it. Rob (I) will be leading a vision trip to Nepal later this year.  The focus of this trip is to explore opportunities for our church to consider establishing partnerships with the workers on the field who are disciplining local indigenous leaders.   Kathy and Shannon are going to Moldova in late June to work with children.   Jessica and her husband Marc are prayerfully considering helping with a chur

Interesting thoughts from Ben Stein...

Ben Stein: Apparently the White House referred to Christmas Trees as Holiday Trees for the first time this year, which prompted Ben Stein, to say, on CBS Sunda y Morning, My confession: I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejewelled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees. It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a nativity scene, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away. I don't like

If this was the last one...

If I knew I had one last message to share with the world this would be the one... There will be no cowards in Heaven! Okay, so let's be sure we are the same page Are we called to be disciples? Are we called to proclaim the gospel? Are called to be set apart? We have to be careful of the gospel we proclaim! We can't sugar coat the truth Being a cross follower is difficult! In fact, the gospel tells us over and over again only a few find the path.  When you press into Jesus the goal is to make you a new creature. 2nd Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.  The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God ma
